Okay so I’ve been prescribed to amphetamines for “ADHD” since age 13. I am now 19 years old and have tried, for months at times, prescriptions of Ritalin, Focalin, Concerta, Vyvanse, Daytrana and now Adderall. I want to quit, and I was just curious of who follows me that takes any of these drugs and or about other people’s opinion or advice on how they stopped using these drugs and-or found better mechanisms to focus instead of taking highly addictive amphetamine salts… It’s gotten to the point where I just resent myself half the time for wanting to take this bullshit, and angers me that I was prescribed originally and my parents made it seem “mandatory” to take from such an early age. Not to mention I was prescribed to these drugs at age 13 shortly after finishing inpatient/outpatient treatment for four months after suffering over a year with Anorexia Nervosa. It’s frustrating because I also read these stimulants increase the symptoms of such mental disorders and others such as anxiety, depression and OCD too. Any help would be appreciated.
